Boarding
Your dog(z) will be well exercised and thoroughly loved while they stay with us on “puppy vacation” in our large and comfortable boarding kennel with access to an acre of a GRASSY play-yard.
Your dogz will enjoy 15-30 minutes of what we call PPP Time: Pats, Potty & Playtime every 2 hours throughout the day. We make sure that our play-shifts are according to owner preference or even dog preference. If you prefer your dog(z) to go out alone, we fully accommodate that and will ensure they get the same attention and love a larger group would get as well. If you prefer your dog to play with others of like personality, we will first temperament test them with our staff’s well socialized dogz and let them play with our larger groups afterwards.
Do you have an elderly dog or a dog that is not so excited about playtime? That’s ok! We will walk around the play-yard with them and give them lots of belly rubs instead!
We close between 5:00pm and 6:00pm.
“Oh no! Does this mean your dog doesn’t go potty again until we open in the morning?”
Absolutely not! Our Manager, who is also a Veterinarian Technician, lives on the property with her husband. They go out at night (approximately 9:00pm) to let all the dogz outside again for the last “PPP Time” and to make sure everyone is happy, tidy, and tail-wagging. We view your pets as our own when in our care.
Daycare
Doggie daycare is a great way to have your dog entertained while you’re at work, running errands or going on a short trip off the mountain. Notice our daycare hours are extended to accommodate your work schedule or the ability to go to Asheville or Greenville for the day and still have your fur baby home with you at night. We ensure your dog will be well worn out because we believe a tired dog is a good dog!
Grooming
We like to make sure our customers are always happy but we may recommend a bath for your pooch if the weather is bad or they stayed with us a while. Weather doesn’t deter playtime, your dog wants to play fetch in the puddles and rain, we are totally game! (Of course, with the exception of thunder and lightning. Remember: safety is our first priority.) We cannot guarantee a spotless pup if you opt out of our full service baths or grooms.
The Comfortz of Home
We want Dogz Best Friend to be your pet's home away from home. Please make sure you bring belongings that are needed for your pet: medications, food, their favorite toys or chewies. We do provide, bowls, beds, toys and blankets, but if you would like to bring these comfort items from home, please feel free!
